L43 was shot down of Vlieland by a British Curtiss H-12 flying boat operating from RNAS Felixtowe on 14 June 1917 during a reconnaissance mission. The H-12 was flown by Flight Sub-Lieutenant B D Hobbs DSC , and 3hj. Crew: A/MS H M Davis and Goody.
